@Vendelin Zatko AWESOME! I'm glad I can help and best of luck with your projects out there, btw what's your you-tube CH-link so I can check-out your content. I'm curious to see what you do now. And.., as an advice YES! I've found-out getting better results creating my own video templates then export them by rendering "SAME AS PROJECT SETTINGS". Works for me, now you see it works for you, Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!

I ran a test rendering a 1hr 15 minute project, loads of mts clips Share - Same as First Clip
The rendered file was identical length , there was a slight shift in audio of 2 frames, id by viewing the audio wave form

Where users have audio sync issues we recomend deselecting Smart Render which has worked for some.

Yeah I hear you! Well try the tips given by other users, might work. I personally never edited a 2:30:00 movie on the new versions of VS. I quit weddings a decade ago hahahha.., still back then the max I edited was a 1 hour and 30 mts, never experienced anything like this. I'm sorry you're having a hard time!

Don't be angry, but don't let them say that VS 2023 is Professional because it isn't.
Let them write that this program is for kindergartens and not for professionals..... UMSPRO8 yes, it was for professionals and they will kill it, what was the good thing about killing it? COREL, shame on you. Or let them clean up the company because I paid for their product, my lawyer advised me that I can sue them for their imperfection.

If they don't stop this error, I'm done with VS. Ved DaVinci is also a great tool and completely free, you just have to learn and get used to it.

You are free to use any software you want.
I don't know what type of work you do that must be more then 2 hours, I hope your viewers will stay that long for long.

DaVinci Resolve - free is good enough for most but if you really need professional features you can't beat DaVinci Resolve Studio. USD $295 gets you a perpetual license and lifetime updates. Spent way more than that on the Ulead/Corel milk cow.

So why do they put 10 hours on the timeline for the video... I think that if I pay for something, let it work as it should... asik1 didn't you have a farewell, ribbon, or wedding??? it also takes 4 hours for us.

Now about you CHEATERS like me out there Lol.., with the old UI you could export your NewBlue FX not included from older versions onto whatever upgrade you were doing and they worked just fine. I was curious to see if these would work and..., they DO-NOT! I get it. NEW-UI, NEW-UPDATED FX being able to work w/the upgraded interface. So these NBLegacy from version 21 worked just fine on 22, however they simply didn't work on the 23 version. Bummer!

I didn't conduct a comprehensive comparison to previous versions to determine what filters were missing. I believe some have been re-categorized. I did discover that one NewBlue filter I use was not available in VS2023; "Color Swap." So I copied it from VS2021 into VS2023 and it appeared under NewBlue (Legacy) and worked with no issue. Not sure about other filters.
