Re: VideoStudio 2023 when it comes?
I am afraid we have had absolutely no word from Corel/Alludo about a release date. I have asked, but so far silence has been my answer. Mind you, I can't say that this is different from earlier releases.

Re: VideoStudio 2023 when it comes?
Some previous versions of VideoStudio were released in mid-February, but we don't know the exact release date of VideoStudio 2023. The only thing we can do is hope that VS2023 will be released soon.

Re: VideoStudio 2023 when it comes? Update: v2023 was released
Yes, I can confirm 136 is the latest build. I too have installed the trial version. I will be interested to read any initial comments made by users. I have some relatively minor comments but it will be interesting to see if others experience the same things.
I might add here that neither Trevor nor I nor RobertOZ or as far as I know any other user, had any warning from Alludo that they were about to release this build as the final version.
Anyway, my own comments as I said are relatively minor and easily fixed:
1) I was asked at the beginning of the installation process what TV system I wanted VS installed for. I inserted PAL. When I first opened Preferences in the newly installed 2023 I saw that NTSC had been chosen. So I changed it and restarted VS to lock it in. And it showed PAL when I reopened VS.
2) The preview screen was showing the 16:9 outline of a smartphone instead of something I regard as more sensible, such as the 16:9 standard screen. This may be just me, as some (many?) new users might actually like having the smartphone as their screen outline. Anyway, it was easy to change, though new users should be aware that the control for this is a smallish button directly under the preview screen to the right of the player buttons.
3) In Preferences I always select Crossfade as my set transition. This was not immediately there on first opening VS 2023; nor where the great majority of other transitions. However, a second opening of VS and/or some extra time for the database to build made Crossfade and all the other transitions available for selection.

Thanks Kevin I'll have a look. The biggest shock to me is the 38% price increase. May be its just my country's bad currencyKen Berry wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:06 am Yes, I can confirm 136 is the latest build. I too have installed the trial version. Yes, I thought the price had increased. Just about everywhere has been hit by inflation, but probably by nowhere near that amount though...Luna Esterhuizen wrote:The biggest shock to me is the 38% price increase. May be its just my country's bad currency
RobertOZ -- oddly enough, when I first installed VS 2023 and opened and closed it a few times, I never got that registration box. I thought that perhaps that was because I had chosen to open the trial version. But just now I went to open it again, and before it opened, that box appeared. Yes, a problem. I must go and look at the registration page, though I suspect we are going to find another VS 2022 being registered... or perhaps not???

Re: VideoStudio 2023 when it comes? Update: v2023 was released
I am not sure I understand what you plan to do. Do you mean you are going to buy VS 2023 and install that? If you do, you will still have VS 2022 on your computer, though that is fine. They are totally independent of each other.Vendelin Zatko wrote:Thanks for the email, I'm going to reinstall VS2022 to VS2023 immediately.

Re: VideoStudio 2023 when it comes? Update: v2023 was released
That is a massive price increase, here in Aus. Allude are now wanting AU$155 for the full version and AU$136 for the upgrade, An AU$16 saving !!!! Can't imagine there would be many takers at that price
