Volume adjustment

Post by Marc J »

I am new to this forum and have just started to use Video Studio Ultimate 2022.

I'm having a problem with the volume adjustment of the music track: I set to a certain level, ex. 50 and it always stays at 100; tried many many times and unsuccessful. Is there a special trick to do this easily?

Thanks!

Hi Marc
and welcome to the forums…..
No special trick in setting the audio levels, a couple of ways to do this.
I inserted a Wav file to music track 1
Double click the clip to open the options panel
Set 100 to 50 by typing, dragging the slider or nudging the up/down arrows, with cursor next to 100 my keyboard up / down arrows also work.
Navigate away by clicking an empty space on the timeline, then double click the clip again and the new settings are used.

If that does not work for you I guess it could be the type of audio file you are using?
Can you try using the clips from the Sound Effects library.

Thank you so much Lata! :D It's working perfectly now with your instructions. The way I was doing was clicking on the music track once to highlight the track, then right click and choosing Adjust Volume, then a small box for volume adujstment opens where is shown the setting and you can change the volume, then pressing ok button. It always came back to 100%. It never worked so I'm very glad to forget this bad time trying with no good results. On top of that, I contacted Corel by chat and they opened a ticket and I'm still waiting for an email reply since 4 days now, nothing yet.
If I encounter a problem, I'll search first in this forum, I know it's the best place to get answers.

Just found myself also using that volume slider, on the tab, it does not do anything strangely, then I remembered you have to get to the "edit" input box too. You should get a response soon, usually they are pretty quick, might be they are getting ready for a new version :-).
