Purchasing a second license?

Post by Sillyname »

Is there a way to purchase another license? I didn't see this in the buying options on the website. I am in need of placing the software on 2 computers.

Mediastudio Pro 7, that is.

Anybody got a copy of the EULA on them?

I'm at work right now.

Is it cold in here?

The EULA says only one computer at a time. No mention of buying additional licenses. So it's full price, again. Right?

Sorry, this is more for technical questions than sales support questions.

Here's a page on ULead's site for Volume Licensing:

http://www.ulead.com/store/licensing.htm

I'd call one of the North American contacts (or whoever is appropriate for your region) and ask them, or send them e-mail. Looks like the lowest bulk-licensing unit is 5 seats, though.

Assuming that it's for use by someone other than yourself (i.e. at the same time as you're using it), I think your assumption of full price for a second license is probably correct. If it's just for your use on a separate machine and you won't be using it simultaneously, then your existing license covers that.

I'm not a sales support person, though. Definitely worth asking one of the aforementioned contacts before forking out the bucks, IMO.

I can no longer rely on just one editor. I've got to start sharing the load. I was just making sure if I could save a couple of bucks in the process. I am notoriously uninformed. Thanks! :)
