Title Options like Motion Edit Stopped

Post by Jan1954 »

VS-2022 is locking up when I select a title in the timeline. I wanted to edit the existing motion and I can't access any of the Title Options like Font, Motion, etc. I closed VS and reopened it but it still does not work.

First off, I wanted you to know I moved your topic to the Video Studio forum since that is what it's about. For some reason, you posted in the Movie Factory forum.

Next, does this happen with each and every title, or only one?

Have you tried rebuilding the 25.0 folder in C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\25.0? Either rename it (e.g. 25.0_OLD) or delete it, then restart VS 2022 and the folder will rebuild. Give it time as it takes a while. The folder contains directions the program takes when it processes your video.

Ken, thanks for moving my post. I tried to keep it in VS, but it kept ending up somewhere else, and I don't know why.

Just now, I was going to verify that this was happening in other titles, but now it's working! All I did was shut the computer down for lunch. That said, it happened earlier this week, so it's inconsistent.

I will do what you recommend above, rebuild the 25.0 folder. I bet it won't happen after I do that. I will post back the results.

I have a new 25 folder. But all my thumbnails are gone. I did rename the old 25, but that won't help me now. How do I reload the project thumbnails?

To get the thumbnails back you would need to rename the new 25.0 to something else. Then remove the renaming from the old 25.0 so that it is 25.0 again, and then you reopen VS and it will use the original 25.0 and the thumbnails will be restored.

So I won't be able to have a "new" 25 until after I am done with this project?

You could always go to Settings > Library Manager and Export the existing library while you are in the "old" 25.0. Then, when you create a new 25.0, you import the old library.

Oh! Thank you. I have not imported a library but now I see why that is an option. When I have the problem again, I'll do that.
