Is there a way to Trim a video without rendering?
For example, first 10 minutes of video is nothing, want to trim it off to save space and save it.
If it's in VideoStudio I don't see it.
If not, can someone recommend an app?
Thanks!

There are many free online video trimmer tools to cut the length of your video w/o re-rendering them, e.g. YouTube and Adobe, as well there is free software that will trim a video, e.g. VLC. Suggest that you try them and see what works best for you.mreinsmith wrote: Is there a way to Trim a video without rendering?

I have used the free Avidemux program for exactly this purpose for years and have been very pleased with it. It's available to download from:

In VS, under File, when you trim parts of a video, you can find a command "Save trimmed video". A copy of the trimmed video appears in the library window and the name is adjust with a number e.g. using the Sample_Lake.mp4 clip, the new file is Sample_Lake-1.mp4 -- though I think you can change the name to your own preference before it is saved. You certainly can after it is saved using File Explorer.

Re: Trim a video without rendering
What I am doing is to use the "Multi-trim video" feature (right click on the clip - multi-trim)
Once I have all the clips trimmed (may be more than one) I simply click on the trimmed file on the timeline and use "Save trimmed vide" from the file menu, as what Ken is suggesting.
What is it doing is not only to create a cop in the library, but the entire new trimmed clip that has the same properties then the original one.
