Way to set default export settings in videostudio 2022?

Post by RepairmanJared »

I have a custom setting I am using for youtube videos. the problem I am having is whenever I go to the share tab my custom setting is not selected it always defaults back to something else so I have to go to custom and try to figure out which one is mine again which would be easy if you could name them but you cant...

Seems to me in older versions you were able to set a default or at least name your custom settings.

Hi RepairmanJared
And welcome to the forums

We can create our own profiles giving them a unique name, a couple of ways to do this.
1 / from Settings – Movie Profile Manager not only allows us to create a profile but has an Add option that uses / copies the properties of an existing video file.
First chose a format, mpeg4 – New or Add
Once created here should be available to use via Share mpeg4, top of the profile list.

2 / from Share – choose your type then select the + Add symbol, update the profile, can also change the name, I usually add MY to the beginning of the name or change the name completely.
Unfortunately when we visit Share again we may have to select the profile again, a little anoying that it does not always use the last selected profile
