Smart Proxy Appearing to Not Work

I recently purchased VideoStudio Ultimate 2022 and set up my preferences for Smart Proxy. I have tried numerous different video clips to have the clips use smart proxy, but nothing happens. When I right click on the video from the track I select the smart proxy function, yet I don't see any smart proxy icon on the video. I'm not sure if it is user error, or there is an issue with the application. I have had to uninstall and re-install VideoStudio a couple times since it kept freezing or crashing on me. Any ideas? Check your Smart Proxy settings as proxies will not be created unless the clips are above the threshold that you set. As well, check that your proxy folder exists and contains proxy files.

In addition, SmartProxy files are not created instantly. They take some time, so you have to be patient. Ideally, make them well before you plan to edit them.

Thanks for the info. That seems to be the answer that my clips were not the right size for it to work.

I had lots of problems besides this, so after unintalling and re-installing and making some setting changes suggested, it made a big difference.
