Mask Creator error

Wow, after weeks of troubleshooting I think this may finally be solved! Again, thank you so much for your help! In my current project, I had project properties at 29.970 fps and most video clips I was using were also 29.970 fps. However, I had a few which were 30 fps and apparently that little bit of difference was enough to throw mask creator off! Once I changed the clips to 29.970 fps like the others they worked with no problem. I never had any issues with fps causing problems in mask creator in my other versions of Corel...I am so relieved to finally understand what's been going on. Thank you! You were so much more helpful than Corel Support!

It was not a problem between 29.97 v 30fps, In fact I do not know the reason why we use both rates, about time i googled that, maybe a rogressive v interlaced issue.
I look on the two as being the same and may type 30 because its easier.

Your Mov video used 14.971fps, I would treat that as 15fps.
Anyway it was the lower rate causing problems, If you recorded using a phone then thr frame rate may be variable, I should check that using MediaInfo.
I would suggest changing your recording settings to use 1920 X 1080 x 30/29.9, If those settings are available.
For me in the UK, using Pal standards would use 25fps

Yes, the sample project/smartpackage was 14.97/15 fps, but in one of my actual projects the difference was the mere discrepancy between 29.97 and 30! I also thought of them as pretty much the same for all practical purposes so I was shocked to realize all my mask creator troubles came from such a seemingly small detail. I'm happy to have it solved.
