Video Studio 2022 Ultimate crashes/closes after a few seconds on starting.

My Video Studio 2022 Ultimate was working fine until recently when I purchased and installed the New Blue Total FX add on. After I installed New Blue Total FX I tried to open VS 2022 and the opening screen (the one with girl chewing bubble gum) appears for a few seconds then vanishes. The program has not opened at all.

Here is what I have done so far (NOTE: after each action taken I have restarted the computer):

Uninstalled New Blue Total FX – problem persists.
Uninstalled VS 2022 Ultimate then did used ‘clean up’
Reinstalled VS2022 Ultimate – problem persist.

I have never installed the VS 2022 Ultimate patch.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as currently I can’t use VS 2022 at all and it's very frustrating as the program was running perfectly until this.

P.S. I have also reported the problem to Corel Support but my previous dealings with them would indicate that I won’t get any satisfaction from them at all.

New Blue is a persistent problem for Video Studio (and Magix & Vegas)
Have you tried uninstalling NB Total FX, then run CCleaner/Revo to remove leftover remnants
You could also run RegScanner, which will scan the registry , finding any left over registry values

The symptom is similar although you don't seem to get an actual QT error, but it was also related to NewBlue crashing VideoStudio.
So you may try the workaround of starting VideoStudio with unset PATH variable - maybe it helps

Thanks for all the suggestions and help.

I can not explain it but the program came right after a short time. Maybe a conflict with something else, I really don't know.

Anyway I've up graded to the new 2023 Ultimate and so far so good.

I have TotalFX7 installed and have no problems with it with Vegas, Pinnacle or Videostudio.
Mind you, some features do not show up as plugins in Videostudio, Magix, and Pinnacle. Everything shows up and works in Vegas Pro.
But for me to get things to work, especially Titler Pro 7, I had to downgrade my graphics driver to 22.5.1. The current drivers, which are M$ certified WHQL drivers, do not work well with Titler Pro 7 Standalone or plugin (in Vegas).
Going back to 22.5.1, and everything is working as it should.
I sent in a ticket with NBFX and they acknowledged that they are working on it.

If you plan on uninstalling NBFX, I would suggest you use Revo Uninstaller Free. Just be careful if you have other NBFX installed. If you don't, let Revo clean the registry and get rid of all the folders that were left over when you uninstalled.

To everyone who gave me suggestions on my problem I thank you very, very much for taking the time to help.

As it is I have updated to the new VS2023 Ultimate and my problem has gone away.
