I use PSP daily to alter and save photographs. Last night when I did my usual edit and save I discovered they were coming out very blocky. Thinking it might be something I had clicked on by accident, it does happened know, I went back to basics.
I have tried again several times tonight, just doing a copy/paste as new image/save. I am getting the same results. Short of uninstalling the program and reinstalling, I don't see what else I can do. Any help would be appreciated.
I am using PSP 2021, 64-bit, which is what I usually use. Having the same problems with 32-bit as well.

Hi Roz and welcome to the forums.
You can try resetting PSP to default to see if that corrects the problem. Here are the instructions:

Re: Problems saving photographs
If resetting PSP doesn't help.
Can you give an example or a direct listing of steps and exactly which commands you use?
As I"m sure you know, when saving a JPG if you do Save As you're given a compression level for saving. If it's too high it'll become very blocky. When copying an image if you do something like Edit -> Copy Special -> Copy for Office or similar these could copy a lower quality image before pasting.

Re: Problems saving photographs
Blessings on your heads folks, resetting did the trick.
Phew, life can go back to normal, at least I hope it will, I have just noticed Windows has done one of its updates.
