I have been using VideoStudio on my desktop with a small group of files transferred from my old laptop. Since the latest update (near the end of October), the program treats any transferred files that were originally 30 FPS as if they were 10-15 FPS. It's not just that playback is choppy- moving through the timeline or even the clips themselves frame-by-frame shows only 10-15 unique frames every second. This is in spite of the fact that every media player I have still plays them back at 30 FPS, and the program itself recognized they were 30 FPS before October's update.
The transferred footage that was recorded at 60 FPS was unaffected, as was a local 30 FPS recording on my desktop. How can I resolve this issue?
Certain files' FPS cut in half

Re: Certain files' FPS cut in half
Welcome to the forum.
I suspect that you actually installed that October update. Is that so? Soon after it came out, we detected that it was causing serious problems relating specifically to the frame rate, even though not specifically of the type mentioned by you. We quickly told Corel/Alludo, who said they could detect the fault. But we urged them to withdraw the update until such time as they fixed it. However, we have not heard any more from them since October, and the update remains available.
We are advising people to uninstall their current updated version of VS 2022, and then reinstall with their original installation file. This will install build 25.1.0.472 which does not have the problem. We can only advise you to do the same. You will get a message every time you open VS after that, telling you about the update, but please don't reinstall it until we let you know here that the problem has been fixed.

Re: Certain files' FPS cut in half
Indeed, I installed the update before I knew there was any problem. Thank you for the advice! I re-installed it and things are back to normal.
