Do you not like the built-in pic-to-painting options? In case you're not aware the Instant Effects plugin has the Pic-to-painting options with more styles to choose from.

Re: Transfer PicToPaint plugin from 2019 to 2023
Levi,
With all the S/W I have been installing on my new laptop, and 2023U with all the free addons, I admit to not having explored all it offers. Since you mentioned it, I now see Instant Effects at the Corel site. I am a bit embarrassed to look to the past (PicToPaint) before exploring PSP 2023U.
I am pleased to have found the Nik Collection and installed it as I shared.
Thanks Much for sending me in the right direction,
Ira

It's not a plugin, it's built into the program. Instant Effects is a palette. View -> Palettes -> Instant Effects.

Yes, I have and yes it works. I prefer the plug-in to the built in Instant Effects only because the plug-in has a preview function that the built in version does not.

Re: Transfer PicToPaint plugin from 2019 to 2023
Kathy,
Please outline what you copied (files, folders) into 2023 from 2019 for PicToPaint to work in 2023? I don’t believe the actual install file of PicToPaint was visible since it was a free add-on selected within PSP 2019.
Also, manually placing .exe's in ‘Program Files’ are blocked. I can succeed by first adding .txt to end of those files, then strip off .txt when transferred. I guess the transfer of PicToPaint components do not involve .exe files.
Much appreciated,
Ira

Re: Transfer PicToPaint plugin from 2019 to 2023
Ira, I didn't have to copy any files/folders. I just pointed to the Pic-to-Painting folder in Program Files via File -> Preferences - > File Locations -> Plug-ins. As you can see in the first image there is a Pic-to-Painting folder.
Note: I do still have PSP2019 installed on my computer.

Re: Transfer PicToPaint plugin from 2019 to 2023
Kathy,
Thanks.
My desired configurations of my laptop and desktop are different. I want only 2023 on my new laptop and only 2019 as installed on my desktop. I understand that I can have two installations of Corel s/w (no license issues). I might just do an about face but first I want to experiment. I experiment all the time in a VM of Win 10 Pro on my desktop (soon I'll install Win 11 Pro as a VM on my laptop). I just installed PSP 2020 U in my desktop VM. If I succeed at transferring all I believe that comprises PicToPaint onto the 2020 C drive and it is seen by PSP , I'd do same with 2023 on the laptop. All that said, I have an Acronis back up of the laptop that I could easily restore to in minutes, as I do for the VM to return it to olast baseline.
Question:
If I opt to install PSP 2019U on my laptop, to link to PicToPaint and access other installed plug-ins, will I be offered ALL those free additions that I was in the 1st installation of 2019 on my desktop that we see and scroll the list on right of the main screen?
My challenges for transfer method to work are as follows:
1. Realizing that the PicToPaint application was installed by Corel, that we do NOT have the install file, place C:\Program Files\Pic-To-Painting\ folder in Program Files. I know how to workaround Win 11 not allowing a manual installation involving .exe files (just add .txt then strip it off).
2. Add all registry keys that include "PicToPaint". So, I exported all to .reg file. See attachment. Again, I experiment in a Win 10 Pro Virtual Module with PSP 2020U.
I'll be back.
Much thanks for sharing your method,
Ira

Re: Transfer PicToPaint plugin from 2019 to 2023
Kathy and others following this post and threads.
I can proudly tell you all that I was able to capture the actual Pic-To-Painting.exe 392,725 KB (and .msi 394,193KB). To get it, I had to perform a fresh install of PSP. I had PSP 2020U that I never installed on my Win 10 Pro Virtual Module (used for test only). I don't care to use 2020. However, when installed I was offered all those add-on's / apps free and $. I clicked on Pic-To-Painting. It D/L'd. I searched my drive for it by name (I use XYPlorer - fo lats of years in lieu of Windows Explorer, etc) AND found it. I tested it in my PSP 2020U test install it it worked as if it was installed directly from PSP 2020 itself.
I then installed it on my new installation of PSP 2023U on my new Laptop. WORKED!!! Also, I knew of and archived an improvement to PTP that LeviFiction developed. There were other issues that he resolved when I was running in Win 7 back in 2019. But he improved the slider operation that I implemented in my 2023 installation of PTP.
If anyone needs more detail on any of the above, SCREAM. However, if you do not care to have PSP 2023U co-resident with an existing installation that has
Pic-To-Printing, such as PSP 2019 or PSP2020 (or possibly newer - don't know if any newer has) where you could simply point to its plugin folder, that you will need to also do a fresh install, as a minimum to capture the aforementioned Pic-To-Painter install file.
