Pasting large amount of text

Post by RoniMac »

Is is possible to paste a large amount of text into Paintshop Pro? I want to paste it over an image for printing but I have gotten to the point where even trying to paste a line at a time is causing the program to crash. The original text is in a Google Docs file and is 12 pages long and I am part way through page 5. I am pasting it as a smaller size font but I am not expecting the whole document to fit onto 1 page for printing. I am using PSP 2021, Windows 11 with 16GB RAM.

PSP isn't really made for large amounts of text. I don't recall which version of PSP boasted improved text speed and management but I do know PSP has always struggled with large amounts of text.

If you don't need to edit the text constantly, I recommend putting as much text as you can, then converting to raster. This will free up memory.

Or, take your final image from PSP and put it as a background inside Word or a more dedicated Illustration software.

Thank you. I think I solved it enough for my needs. I am creating smaller boxes to paste my text into. I can get a few pages before it starts to cause an issue and then I'll just create a new box. As long as I can get them to line up OK it should be enough for this one project.
