Images are showing as 0 bit depth
I use PaintShop Pro 2021 and have thousands of jpg images on a backup WD SSD. I noticed that many of the images will not display even though all the details are there including name, date, size, type. The reason appears to be that the images are showing "0 bit depth" so PSP can't open them. It seems very random as some images from the same date are fine. It appears to happen in multiple folders and there seems to be no similarity between the images that do not display. Some are direct downloads, some are transfers and some are edited so I know they opened at one time but won't now. Very frustrating to see all my editing gone. Any suggestions would be appreciated. PSP 2021 64-bit and Windows 10. I have an RTX3060 12 GB graphics card and a 10th gen CPU with 32GB RAM.

First question is can you open those files from any other software? Like the Windows Photo viewer. This could be an issue with the drive.

Yes - many of the "0 bit depth files" will open in file manager view and photo viewer. But some will not.
Can you suggest an update that I can try?
