VS 2020 will not launch

I have just installed the latest VS 2022 update.Now VS 2020 Ultimate will not launch.The triangular icon with the man running shows on the screen for about 2 minutes then goes.Help please

Video Studio 2022 latest update is causing quality problems as such we are advising that the program be re-installed without the update.
running the program as version 25.1.0.472

As you cannot start 2020 I would suggest that you uninstall both 2022 and 2020, and if you have 2021 uninstall that as well
then re-install starting with the oldest version. That is if you need the earlier versions installed.

Use the CleanUp tools to remove the programs.

If I uninstall VS 2022 will I loose all the items I have loaded into it from the Video Content Folder ?

Any files saved here
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Content
will be used by all Video Studio versions from 2019 to 2022

They will automatically populate the libraries when first running the program, takes a short while to do that.

After encountering almost every obstacle you can think of including messages like an error occurred when trying to uninstall,wait while Boris FX is removed,I have already uninstalled VS022 over hours of waiting to uninstall and reinstall.I am now at the stage of seeing a fixed progress bar that is supposed to be installing the bonus fetures not moved for 2 hours, at 40%(Main programme and standard content installed)The Control panel is telling me that VS2022 in installed. What do I do now.

Have you opened the Christmas bottle of whisky?

Then you should remove the program by using the cleanup tool, run this a couple of times.
Download from here.

Now run the installer file, using the Custom option choose only the main program.
Once installed run the program then close.

Running the installer file again install the Contents pack.
Run the program, if that works its time for another whisky.

Soon you wont be bothered if it installs or not.

Now go to your downloaded installation files for 2022, find the Bonus Features folder,
The exe file, i think called bonus setup (not on my pc to check name) double click that file to install.

Does that work.

In order to keep my head clear for the battle ahead ,I took a temporary pledge to abstain as I knew there were many obstacles to overcome that don’t seem to affect any one else.
1 The clean up tool VS2022_Cleanup.zip led me to a valuation copy of Win Zip.
I have purchased WinZip 26 Pro Edition, on 27 11 2022 as part of a Video Studio 2022 package When I try to copy and paste to use the reg code for Win Zip , a box from Win Zip27 shows and I get a message” it is for a different version of Win Zip, I will need a new reg code to register this version.
This problem was solved with the help of WinZip support with lots of issues to cover. When I got it installed it came up with a script error message which stopped me using the PC and VS. More help from Corel support solved that issue which included C:\ProgramData\WinZip removal, hidden files and registry edits and installing Java
2 I removed VS2022 via the control panel -programmes and features
3 I ran the installer file -modify- custom-main programme only-installed-ran programme and closed
4 Repeated for Standard Content only, ran prog and closed
5 Could not find a Bonus Features file to double click on anywhere so I repeated as 3 and 4 With Bonus Features only.

Bonus features progress bar stuck was solved by changing browser from Firefox to Chrome on original install attempt.
I had to import the missing VS features manually that were not installed automatically on VS2020 and VS 2022.
Did not install the update or Service Pack. And now……….I can complete projects in VS2020 and meddle with VS 2022 after ( along with Winzip) because they are all installed and the only problem they have is me working with them.
