how to group tools

Post by inqinq »

hello
am customising my left side vertical toolbar in 2023.... can rearrange buttons and add extra menus via the customisation option... as in the corel info instructions.... but this....

how to create a new button group... is not mentioned.

i have 4 buttons in the leftside vertical tool bar that i want to make into 1.... with a drop down (drop out to the side) option... showing the 1... plus the 3 others

what's the secret? anyone know?
info much appreciated

There is an item called "New Button Group" you drag that onto the toolbar, then you drag the individual tools into the tool button group. Once the blank/empty button group is on the toolbar, click on it and an empty rectangle will show up next to it. You drag your tools into this rectangle. Here's a video demonstration:

That's great info...I'd seen the small rectangle before but... even this time... it took many attempts at placing the tools so they sat inside. With your info, I persevered and...
All done now.
Much appreciated... cheers for now.

You may also create a second toolbar for easier access to the tools:
