No animation for FX icons

Post by Airone »

I don't know why, but the media library icons I have in VS 2022 are not animated. Media library animation in preferences is flagged. This is very annoying because I used to apply the proper effect just by looking at the animation.
Can you help me?
Thank you

Are your filter icons B&W too? In any event, you could try resetting VS.

Hi tletter,

the icons are in color, but they are fixed and not animated. How do I reset VS? I just reinstalled it without the SP2 due to rendering issues.

EDIT:
I verified that VS2021 and VS2020 also currently have the media library icons without animation. This would appear to have happened after using VS2022_Cleanup to remove VS2022. Strange, however, that reinstalling the latest version did not correct the problem. Any ideas?

For example to reset VS2020, go to 'C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)' and rename the '23.0' folder to something else, e.g. '23.0_old', and then start VS2020 and let VS rebuild the libraries.

It takes a little while for it to rebuild them, so you need to be patient.

Airone
the FX thumbnails do not animate until we float our mouse over one of the clips.
Some/many you wont see any change, Auto Exposure for instance.

As a side note you can attach Jpeg images to your post larger than the one you posted
It will show as a thumbnail approx same size, clicking the image will show a larger view.

In VS2018 and VS2019, the FX thumbnails are animated. However, apparently after VS2019, the behaviour of the FX thumbnails changed to not animating until the mouse hovers over a thumbnail. This wasn't a positive change.

Hi all,
tletter fixed the problem. In fact, I still had in mind the image of all the FX thumbnails animated simultaneously, which instantly allowed me to choose the most convenient effect. Apparently, however, this is no longer possible and I have to settle for one effect at a time. You're right tletter, this wasn't a positive change: is possible to add it to the wishlist?
Anyway, thank you all for assistance and have a good weekend.
