Batch Process Is Not Properly Saving

Post by CaliKat »

I am attempting to downsize some images using batch process in PSP version 2023. I have the output settings set the same way it is in all of my other PSP versions. The Destination Folder and Filename are set to original. Naming Conflicts is set to Overwrite, without warning. The first original unchanged image is saved to a Corel Auto-Preserve folder, just as it should be. The rest of the resized images are placed in my original folder, where they should be _but_ with their names changed.

So, original 1 is placed in the auto preserve folder. Original 2 through 50 are left in the original folder and the resized versions have their names changed, e.g 2_1, 3_2. I cannot figure out why this is happening.

I believe this is a known bug, there is an older post that mentions it as well.

It's only in cases where it overwrites the old file names. So the workaround is to just have them save in a different folder like a sub-folder. Then the names are retained.

If it is a known bug then they are likely working on a solution. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. In the meantime, as I do not like messing with workarounds, I will use one of my other PSP versions to do resizing.
