VS 22 Ultimate 25.2.0.566 Service patch SP3 is now available,4th Jan 2023

My VS 2022 ulitmate got an update yesterday. Now it is 25.2.0.566. Does anybody knows the change log?

Have you not been reading all the posts about the update, it has major issues, (that Corel/Alludo are aware of and confirmed) it is recommended that this update not be installed until advised on this forum. If you start having issues, uninstall, then use the VS2022 cleanup tool, then reinstall without the update

A few minutes ago I was given a hot fix for the service pack 2 issue.
You could be the first to try this.
I will post an announcement later today, I am not able to use my pc at the moment s have not been able to test or cnfir this fix.

Replace the DLL file in the main program install folder and all should be good.

I would suggest you rename the existing file then insert the new, should we need to remove this fix is easily done........

I have tested this hot fix and for me there are no improvements
A quick test is to navigate through the Sample_36 clip, there should be no duplicate frames, unfortunately I see duplicates
I have removed the download link for the time being until I can test further.

I will cry. After the update I can not even slice a clip. I takes about 10 mins.

We are all having problems usinģ the program after installing the update.
You should uninstall 2022, then installing again should give you version 25.1
Running the program will prompt you to install the latest update, service patch 2, ignore this
Do not install the SP2 update.

I did it with no cleanup tool. Seems Ok for now.

I also had to remove, clean, and reinstall VS 2022 several times to get it to work again after installing this update. How did this even get released? Can we disable the annoying update request that keeps coming up? This update should be ENTIRELY disabled so that the request isn't made since it completely ruins the application. It would also help us know when a (hopefully) real update is released.

Yes, it would. We first reported this problem to Corel/Alludo a couple of months ago, and pressed them to at the very least withdraw the update until it was fixed. This has not happened despite repeated requests from us. We have of course been telling people from the start either to not install the update, or else to uninstall and go back to version 472 until a new patch is released.

Unfortunately, there is no way we have found to stop the update message, except to ignore it. It is very annoying and appears each and every time you open VS 2022. I also get a message every day one hour after my computer has been turned on, regardless of whether I have opened VS or not.

Corel have accepted there is a problem, but that is the last thing we have heard from them so far.
