Hmmm... I just did a manual check for Updates from with PSP's Help menu, and the answer was that there is no update available at this time. I have 25.1.0.28... Strange.

Clicking on Radim's link, it goes through the process of downloading, but tells me no update is necessary at this time.

I note, by the way, that the update in Radum's link is dated to exactly a month ago, and I thought we had already gone through this before.

I downloaded the version from the link and was also able to update to 25.1.0.32. Though in fairness I had also restored my copy of PSP to a pre-patched version. I don't know what all they fixed but this one restores the Expand command's function for sure. It now works like it used to, but does not fix other issues relayed in other topics.

Like Ken, I have 25.1.0.28 too. I just downloaded from the link and ran the .exe file and experienced the same as Ken.

This is what pops up:

I click "ok" and get this:

What is the reported version if SP1 installs? What is reported if you attempt to install an already updated PSP2023U?

Kathy,

I have not followed forum for quite awhile. You could tell since purchasing 2023 for my new Dell Laptop I’ve spoken about, I’ve returned to reading and learning and offering my knowledge. I thank you and the regulars who share knowledge.

1. Who is Alludo? Do they provide the technical support for Corel? Will I see them mentioned when today I get the Pinnacle Studio update (another Corel program I use)?

2. Later I’ll check the version of PSP 2023U I got when D/L'd during Cyber Monday.

Ref: PSP2023 Retail Go Live version - 25.0.0.122 (You can click "Check for Update" via Help menu to get the new Update1 version installed) PS: DO NOT get the attached hotfix to install it.

3. I assume the above means … if I have .122 the hot fix is already included, so I should NOT install the hot fix you attached to the sticky post.

PSP2023 Update1 version (OLD) - 25.1.0.28 - You may already encounter two above issues and here are two ways you can get the fix.
A. Ask for the hotfix through Alludo customer support team and install it. Or find the hotfix from the attached file. Please note the version number will keep on 25.1.0.28 even if the hotfix is installed.

4. If I have .28, install the hot fix you attached to the sticky post and the version will remain at .28

B. Quick way - Reinstall PSP2023 version and the version number will be 25.1.0.32

5. If I care to see .32, do you mean to reinstall 2023 on top of already install .28? If so, will my setting and more be blown away? If yes, I surely will take the high road and just install the patch you attached.

Looking forward to your response to my questions.

Much appreciated,
Ira

1 - Alludo is Corel or the overarching umbrella of Corel and their various owned properties.

2 - Here is the quick breakdown of actions based on the version #.

25.0.x.x - unpatched - install the Patch #1 to get 25.1.0.32

25.1.0.28 - Initial patch no hotfix - install hotfix for fastest update
25.1.0.32 - Patched Patch #1 no need to install anything
25.1.0.122 - You had the initial patch and you installed the hotfix. No further action needed.

3 - The Installer always grabs the most recent patched version when it runs. So if you installed 2023 after the patch had been updated you will be on the latest version of PSP 25.1.0.32. If you installed before the patch update it'll be an older version.

One recommended option if you didn't want to do the hotfix is to first uninstall your current version of 2023. Then re-run the installer it'll grab the latest version. This is the least popular as it's annoying but the option recommended by Corel for most people. Only recommending the patch if one of the bugs they introduced bothered you.

So, we have two fully patched ("identical") version of PSP 2023 with different version number?

No idea how identical they are, they fix the big issues presented so far with scripts needing to be run interactively and the selection expand/contract not working as they used to, no idea what else if anything is different, but that's my understanding.
