You would render (save) the .avi file(s) you captured and edited to mpeg2 for use as a DVD.

Hi
How long is your video
At 20 Gb using Dv-Avi it looks about 1hr 30 Mins

Converting to Dvd (mpeg) using the standard template at 8000 will be to large a file size to fit a dvd unless you reduce the bit-rate.

What country are you in Pal or Ntsc?

Have a look at the sticky post at the top of the forum. To most experienced users of Video Studio you are following the correct procedure. It may seem that you are taking an unnecessary (and time consuming) step but, in reality, it saves you time and aggrivation.

Thank you ALL for your help...it is a time-consuming but VERY rewarding
hobby..and with VS9, after a few mistakes...the results are extremely satisfying
