Video Studio Ultimate 2022 lethargic and hiccup behavior

Post by rockyd7 »

Had a huge problem with Video Studio Ultimate 2022 for the last 3 weeks. Ironically, I had just given a workshop telling students to use this program just before I noticed huge problems. When I was editing, I could get audio and not video. When I got video, it would be frozen on one frame. Even when rendering to a video file, the process was lethargically slow and created videos where frames froze and then started again in the middle of the video. Even the graphics were off - I would get titles perfectly set in the video, but then when I exited the edit mode, it would change the font size by as much as 50% and change the location on the screen as well.

Well, I read about what others have been saying in this forum during October 2022. As soon as I did an uninstall, and then reinstalled it again (this time WITHOUT allowing the new service pack) the program worked as good as new. Apparently they did a very superficial beta testing and never saw their update would create more problems for users than it solved.

The Beta testers were not given the opportunity to check the service pack
