When I render my video, I get audio "drops"

Post by FindTheRightRoad »

I am a YouTube creator and I am having Audio issues with Corel VideoStudio Ultimate 2020.

When I create my project and I play it in the time line, the audio comes out perfect. No matter if it is audio that is part of the video clip OR if I use a voice overlay.
My videos are a combination of GoPro Hero 7 Black video (HD 1920 x 1080), iPHone 12 Pro video and voice overlay.

But then I render my project and I get small audio "drops". Almost sounds like I am cutting it off as I start to say a new word. I am rendering in MPEG-4 AVC (1920 x 1080, 30p, 15Mbps)
As you can imagine, this is VERY frustrating. I don't know what is causing the issue and I don't know how to fix it. Any ideas ?

NOTE: Video Studio Ultimate 2020 version 23.3.0.646 running on a Dell XPS laptop (i7-7700HQ 2.8Ghz, 16GB, 2TB M.2 SSD with lots of available space running Windows 10 Pro)

My first suggestion would be that you untick the box for "Smart Render". This will make the render of your project take a longer time, but Smart Render has been known to cause problems for some people.

OK. What about the box beside Hardware encoder acceleration?

Yes. I have that box checked.

Next video I render, I will try it without it. Lets hope that is the issue...Thanks
