Image revert
In Paint Shop Pro 2022, I was redoing a selection but got distracted when someone started talking to me and I inadvertently hit the revert button instead. Is there any way to undo a revert? I know this is great for when I really need to go back to a previous save but is there a way to go forward from this like with a temp file?

Re: Image revert
Technically no, but if you're fast you might be able to. As it's been a while there is almost zero chance....unless you have volume shadow copy turned on and can view previous instances of the save folder.....you know for simplicity let's say no. Revert deletes all undo steps. It's why it asks you if you're sure before proceeding.
Your best bet is if you have Auto-Save turned on and there is still time between hitting Revert and the next auto-save. You might be able to retrieve a saved copy of the image.
First, all undo steps and auto-saves are placed into the same folder. To find where PSP is saving your Undo/Temporary files: go to File -> Preferences -> File Locations. Look at the "Undo/Temporary Files" section and copy the path to the folder. Find the most recently created/edited files. There should be at least two with the extensions "PspAutosave" and "tmp". The TMP file is a PSPImage file and is your auto-saved backup. The "PspAutosave" file is a reference to both the temporary autosave version of the file, and to the original. If you open it in Notepad you will see two paths, one to the TMP file and one to the original. Use the path to the TMP file to make sure you're baking up the appropriate TMP file.
Obviously, this will only restore up to the last auto-save. If it had not auto-saved yet, or had last auto-saved 13 minutes ago you could lose a number of undo steps. But it's your best chance. The second you close the file, close PSP, or the auto-save runs again the autosave will be lost. So you've got to fast.
