Now installed. However, I might just note that the installation process takes us back to the situation we've complained about before. The process begins quickly, and the green progress bar very quickly moves over to the far right, indicating it has finished -- and it sits there for a little over a minute, with the installation box flickering as though it was still doing things behind the scenes. Then eventually we get the message saying it has completed. This could fool users into thinking something had gone wrong and stopping the installation...

Interesting that I see a message to update the program although had already installed a patch provided by Nick.

I had expected the patch to automatically install instead it downloaded for me to save the file to run at leisure. I think maybe a better option as we can decide whether to install the patch or not.
Should I decide not to install I get the same message “ update is ready….” Each time I run the program.

And yes Ken I get the same delay for a long time whilst the progress bar shows in full, long enough to believe the process has stalled.

THE UPGRADE brought nothing but trouble to my copy of the software hahahha. It doesn't even open anymore. While before the upgrade ran pretty smooth, zero crashes and such.

Is anyone else having issues rendering in the latest version? Getting sudden "frame unreadable" errors, on the same project that was fine last night (before the update install).

I've tried on a totally new project, with the matching project and render settings - same issue... I've logged a ticket with support, and am trying a repair / reinstall now but thought I'd check in with you guys too.

Update - a reinstall has solved the issue, the projects that were previously throwing errors seem to be working - one has rendered fine and the other is on it's way

Hi everybody. I have such a problem, I installed service pack 2 in VS2022. I worked on a 5-hour project, after finishing I looked at the final result, and the horror of the whole video when moving the video camera horizontally shakes, not only the movement of the camera, but also people during dancing or passing in front of the camera. On the 3rd day, I struggled until I figured out the error. Interesting export from M2T to M2T the image behaves normally, only export from M2T to MP4 or from MP4 to MP4 the image shakes. I work in PAL, I don't know if it does the same in NTSC, I haven't tried. That's why I'm writing so that someone can report it, and also because whoever edits in PAL so that SP2 for VS 2022 doesn't install SP2 is wrong. I would like one more piece of advice. When I start VS2022, the message to download and install SP2 keeps bothering me. How do I get rid of it so that the message does not appear? see a picture. Thank you. Vendi.

Menu Bar > Help > Check for Updates > select (check) Check manually

I own Video Studio Ultimate 2022. Right now in v25.1.0.472 (64bit Ultimate)... Full of bugs, to the point of being unusable (even changing main tabs to "capture" closes the program)

Why is that SP2 not showing up when checking for updates?

Sorry you are having problems running the program.
I do not know why you are not seeing a notification for the update nor why it does not find one when doing Check for Updates
I would suggest you re-install the program, use Program and Features to remove 2022 then run the cleanup tool, just to be sure

By the way, If you installed the trial version I think it best to uninstall that before installing 2022.
Some problems have occurred when upgrading from Trial to Ultimate without going through uninstalling.
I would also download a fresh set of installation files, you can only do this after uninstalling the program.

I have just installed VS 2022 you are correct, Video Studio 2022 is no longer providing the service pack.

Service pack 2 has been causing problems since its release.

Yes, I installed full registered version since start. No SP. Don't know how many problems could it bring, but current version is absolutely full of bugs. No way this could have passed QA tests, not even automated monkey testing
