I have a brand new computer with Windows 10 pro - 16 GB RAM
I am using the 2022 Free Trial version of VideoStudio
I am working on a music video that is about 2.5 minutes long and right now has 11 overlay tracks
When I try to view or scrub through an individual clip in the preview screen, what I see instead is the project
The only way I can view an individual clip is to hide all the overlay tracks below it
This wasn't the case originally. It may have changed when I enabled smart proxy (which I had to do because I was running out of memory)
I tried opening a new project and the same thing is happening.
Selected clip not showing

Re: Selected clip not showing
Welcome to the forum.
When you try scrubbing, have you 'selected' the clip in the timeline i.e. have you first left-clicked the clip in the timeline? That should show the clip surrounded by a bright yellow outline. Or you can click on the word 'Clip' immediately below the preview screen as shown in my screen clip?

Re: Selected clip not showing
Hi
I have just tested this and expected things to work when dragging or playing a selected clip
Using the top track, Overlay 1 and Overlay 2 I am having problems viewing Overlay 1.
If I use 3 Overlay tracks ( no top track) I can only view Overlay 3
Ken can you try using 3 clips on Overlays 1,2 and 3. all fit to screen.

I think the problem here is using fit to screen for all clips.
Normally when using several tracks the clips would be smaller, like Picture in Picture where we can see all on the preview screen.
Full screen and the last overlay will hide all other overlays.
