Color of the skin darker after rendering

Post by Antois »

Another rendering issue.

In the video project I have edited images to lighten the skin colour.

After rendering the skin colour looks darker again compared to the project file.Does anyone has an idea why?

Do the properties of the rendered clip match that of the source clip?
Did you apply any filters, e.g. Video Tuneup, or colour correction?
Are you comparing a proxy file to a 4K rendered file?

Source and rendered file have simular properties except for: video bitrate source is about 2500 kbps and rendered file 5000 kbps. I edited the source material as I mentioned because the skin was too browny. While making changes in VS to the source material you have the window to see the result. One may expect that the result is about the same as you saw in VS while editing. Otherwise you cannot do proper editing. When I play the rendered file in VS (or in a videoplayer) the edited source looks darker then when I play the project file.

Actually the difference is rather small so I close this subject.
