I add any clip to an overlay and open the properties of track and then click the Blending tab.
I have added 3 static masks, they worked fine, but now if it click the blending tab, the masks are invisible, so I closed the app and restarted
Now the blending tab just crashes the app
I been searching for tif files and bmp files to try and remove the 3 masks i added and remove them. I was kinda hopeing to not have to uninstall and re-install the app entirely. Reset library did not seem to do anything , is there a way to reset without uninstalling?
How do I delete the masks I made? Where are they stored?

Re: Ultimate 2021 crash on blending tab
I had similar problems whilst testing the mask features
It appears if I create an image to add to the Blending Matte Modes, then remove the Image from my hard drive leaves a corrupt trace of the mask, difficult to see as its completely black but click away may find the mask showing a green border, this then causes the program to crash.
The best option is to use the – symbol to remove the mask before deleting or moving the images on the hard drive.
I believe this to be a bug as deleting the mask image from hard drive should also update the Mattes Modes list
I managed to reset the masks list by resetting the program by renaming / deleting the 24.0 folder
C:\Users\trevo\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)
If you wish to keep your library try first exporting the library, of course that may also save the corrupt Mattes Mode masks, but worth a try.

Zaphodikus can you attach a screenshot?

Re: Ultimate 2021 crash on blending tab
Another post refers to crashes when using blending and user defined masks
https://forum.corel.com/viewtopic.php?p=387677#p387677
For Asik1--also bug 0696, yes slightly different approaches in using blending but with same results, program silent crash.
In my tests the user mask when corrupt shows as black, so cannot see the clip, but clicking the black area a mask does show with a green border, program has now frozen so taking a screen shot does not work, crash follows.
Like all program problems sometimes things work ok only to fail at random maybe tomorrow, then its difficult to fix, as mentioned I found a program reset seemed to help.

Re: Ultimate 2021 crash on blending tab
A workround to delete the corrupt masks from the Matte Modes list.
There is an + add and – remove option, unfortunately the – remove is not available.
Try this........
Access the Blending options, choose the Mask Frames, do not select any masks, scroll down to bottom of list.
Using the Add + option add a new mask, now the “- remove” option is active, hit that to remove the new mask and any others till the list shows the Jigsaw option
Your corrupt masks should have been removed.
Seems to work for me………
