Mullti-Camera Editor : Transition tool missing
I'm doing a simple 2 camera multi-camera edit. When I load it up, the tool to turn on transitions is missing. Maybe I'm forgetting something. I do see in the help there should be one.
I'm on Video Studio Ultimate 2020
Any suggestions?

Re: Mullti-Camera Editor : Transition tool missing
Well, this is screwy.
I exited and created again, and now there is not video in video box 2. So I tried selecting the camera number tool (which I understnad is to stipulate how many cameras) and select 2. So box remains empty, and a box 3 changes to B, but is black. I tried stepping through selecting as it played, and sure enough, when I select the B box, it just puts black there.
I have no idea what the heck is happening. I have done this a few times with no problem, but now it's crazy.
Thoughts?

You have to click on the clip and place the cursor at the beginning of the clip. After that, give transition should light up.

Re: Mullti-Camera Editor : Transition tool missing
If Box 2 aka camera angle 2 is empty then view the timeline Camera 2 does the video clip extent to that point.
Using MCCE it defaults to 4 cameras, to the right of the 4 camera angles are 2 more panels to add a black clip or a gap / space to the timelines
I assume the "B" indicates Black and "O" for Opaque
When you select 2 cameras the display rearranges to show the Black and Opaque option to the bottom.
A/B transitions
As the reply from Vendelin Zatko, place cursor to the beginning/end of a clip.
You can also press the navigation button - home button below the preview screen to move the cursor.

Re: Mullti-Camera Editor : Transition tool missing
I got past the windows showing up issue. Thanks for the help.
I'm unable to get the transition tool/option to show up. I placed cursor at beginning, and at end, with no lluck. I have attached a printscreen showing with cursor at the end.

You need to select / click the clips on the top timeline.

Re: Mullti-Camera Editor : Transition tool missing
I appreciate your help.
So, the first suggestion was at beginning or end. No go. So now, selectding clips at the top, which I presume you do mean the multi-camera line.
I actually tried that before staring this topic. But a pic attached sowing one selected (would not let me select more than 1 at a time), and again no go.
This is wild. I actually have used the feature before, although it's been a while.
Seems it just is not working. Not sure what to do.

Re: Mullti-Camera Editor : Transition tool missing
It does seem odd, can you select the last clip (1) then click the first button below the preview screen, I think its named Home.
That will move the cursor to the beginning of that clip, A/B transition should show.
I am not on my pc to check this, just explaining from memory.
You can also try selecting the line / cut point between the clips, A/B should show.
By the way i notice you have Audio 2 set , yet there is no clip on that line??

Re: Mullti-Camera Editor : Transition tool missing
I really appreciate your help
Thanks for pointing out Audio 2. I must be hitting something while trying to find a transition tool. My memory is that it was just there when I used it in the past. Seems if I had to manually place cursors through a video could be quite time cconsuming.
Below is a picture with the cursor placed as you requested.

Re: Mullti-Camera Editor : Transition tool missing
Just compared my mcce with your image
You may have resized the preview screen which has hidden the A/B icon + other icons
Drag the vertical black line to the right to show the missing icons to the right of the scissors.
Post updated
I noticed you are on 98 project
Do you know we can give our mcce project a name
Go to the cogwheel top left for "save as" -- give it a name

Re: Mullti-Camera Editor : Transition tool missing
Ooo... I didn't realize it. It comes up like that But I do recollect seeing some of the other windows were behind. I expected the tool to be down on the same line as the tools for synching. Etc.
Not home now. But will figure out how to resize those and see how it goes.
I really appreciate your help.
