Hi folks,
Have two kinds of video here, #1 DV from sony handycam, #2 video I made myself with 3d graphics program. Problem is when I load video I made with 3d graphics program (#2) into the timeline, everything works great, Media Studio Pro is terrific and I can do whatever I want, edit, make dvd's, whatever. HOWEVER, when I try to load sony handcam DV video (#1) into the timeline all I get is random looking garbage on the timeline, and the preview only shows this blocky garbage. Playing the video in the source window plays fine, but preview is garbage, and if I actually try to use it as a piece of video and fade from it to something that works, it's just garbage that disolves beautifully into the good video.
What's going on ?
Why can't Media Studio Pro see my DV video as good video ?
Another note, the DV handcam video plays just fine on it's own in windows media player too, no troubles there. It's only in Media Studio Pro where it looks like all this blocky garbage. Another side note, even though it looks like blocky garbage, the audio track still plays in Media Studio Pro, it's just the video that is garbage.
Thanks for any help I have had Media Studio Pro for a while now and have never figured out this problem, I want to use my handcam video files!
Thanks, Jeff.
Preview is Garbage, pretty please help
I suspect you may not have your project settings set right. You must set them for DV (720 x 576 PAL or 480 NTSC, 25 fps PAL or 29.97 NTSC, lower field first). There is a preset for this.
