VideoStudio Ultimate 2021 crashes after welcome

My VideoStudio Ultimate 2021, as well as VideoStudio Ultimate 2019, crash, after displaying the Splash screen and then loading the Welcome Screen. The Welcome screen with the menuitems displays for aproximately 5 seconds, then vanishes completely. I have worked with tech support who helped me to use the cleanup tool and to reinstall the program. I have done this multiple times, and the problem still exists. I then loaded the trial version of VideoStudio Ultimate 2022, and the program works perfectly. So, my question is, I as a loyal customer genuinely refuse to be forced to pay for an upgrade. The tech support that I have worked with for a month has not helped me fix the problem. And I would like to get a good faith free upgrade so that I can use a program i have purchase 3x in the past 5 years. If it breaks, and can't be fixed, and then a new version comes out and fixes the loading problem, surely I must be eligble to some kind of complimentary upgrade, yes? All I want is to get what I paid for...and have a functioning program. Suggestions?

Try resetting VS2021 by renaming the "C:\Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\24.0" folder to something else e.g. "24.0_old" and then restarting VS. It'll take awhile to rebuild things and then hopefully VS2021 will restart.

Thx tletter. I just tried this, i loved the idea....but it didn't work. the first time, it crashed as soon as i attempt to click on anything on the welcome screen...the second time, it just automatically crashes after a second or two, once the welcome screen appears.

Bit of a pain, but could you uninstall VS2021, run the cleanup tool, then reinstall, BUT DO NOT install the Bonus Feature, (The trial version does not have the Bonus Feature).
Then try to open VS, if it opens, then install the Bonus Feature content one at a time, this way you will find out which feature is causing the problem, New Blue is normally the main culprit.

The 'cure' turned out to be deleting the New Blue addons.

bjtap1! Yes! I reloaded 2021 clean, without the addons...and voila! It works!!!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. Hopefully this might help other people!!!! It has certainly been driving me insane for the past month....and I'm so grateful to be able to be using the software again. All the best to you and yours!

Glad you have VS2021 working at last, you can however install the Bonus Feature contents, just DO NOT install the New Blue package
