Easiest way to create a slideshow and move it to Ulead 8?

Post by IronMike778 »

I love the look of the Movie Factory Slideshow and want to move one I did into the storyline of my Ulead 8 project so that I can wrap a little video around it. Problem is, this .vob thing seems to be my hangup.

Anyone know the best way to get a movie factory slideshow into my Ulead 8 project? Thanks.

You can rename the .VOB file to .MPG then add it into UVS, if the VOB file is generated by Ulead DVD MovieFactory.

Or burn the slide-show to a DVD then use the Import DVD feature of UVS.

Hope this helps.

What's the easiest way to rename the vob? I know it's not the "right click, scroll down to 'rename'" variety of renaming a file, so how should I do it? Sorry if this is an ignorant question!

Hope this helps.

By following the method I mentioned, I get this:

"Slideshow test.mpg.vob"

It's still a vob. Idon't see how right clickingon the file and renaming it is going to change the type of file it is (mpg or vob), I'm only renaming what I see.

Using windows explorer "Highlight" the file.
Then hit the F2 key to rename the file.

The F2 key is located between the F1 and F3 key on the top of the keyboard.

Wow, a regular comedian. Listen smartass, all that does is change the name, it doesn't change thy TYPE of file it is. It's still a vob type. So if I rename it, for example, "SampleSlideshow.mpg", I end up with a file called SampleSlideshow.mpg.vob. That does me no good.

Open a Windows Explorer window.
Go to the menu and select "Folder Options"
Click on the "View" tab
Deselect the option for "Hide file extensions for known file types"
Click "Apply" and "OK"

Now you will be able to see and edit both the file name and extension and change the extension from VOB to MPG.
