Creating two separate videos from one!

Post by MatthewKinLA »

Good day from California!

I've got a LONG video, and, although I have SPLIT the clip into two parts, cannot seem to find the means to copy it into a NEW clip. Is that possible?

I just didn't want to have one hour-long video but two 30-minute parts.

THANKS

Not quite sure if this is what you mean, but with the split video in the timeline and the project saved (say as "Video01), delete the second half. Then save the project as something else (Save As > "Video01_A). Then close it. Reopen Video01 and delete the first half. Then Save As > Video01_B.

Now you can open project Video01_A and Share it to get a final video of that first half. Then reopen Video01_B and Share it so you now have a separate video of the second half.

1 Split the clip into two parts.
2 Mark the project
3 Set MARK IN OUT
4 When exporting, mark Create Preview Range Only
5 Also continue with the second clip.
