Randomly stopping at one point in editing (also cuts off in rendering at same point)

It's only happening with this one clip from the iphone file.

Run your clip through a video transcoder and see if that resolves the issue.

Which clip, at what time point?

Something is not quite right with the .vsp from 24.49 through to the end of that particular clip, if I move the scrubber to any point after that time but staying within that clip, then select play,the scrubber jumps to beyond the end of the project, but if I move the scrubber to the next clip then select play, the video plays normally.
Any reason why you have text in the overlay track and not the Title track
Also VS states, "These files cannot be added to the project"

It's 24:49-59. I didn't know it mattered if it was in overlay or title. Does it?

Found the problem but not sure WHY it was a problem. Also found a potential minor problem. Both involve your voice track.

The freeze up around 24:49.027 will go away when you delete the short "whistle" cut on the Voice track at 25:00.024.

A potential problem is a one frame clip on the Voice track at 26:27 as this forces the project length to extend that far even though the images and music stop seconds before.

Good finds gewb, orphan frames are culprits in any NLE.
The shortcut CTRL+H or CTRL+E will jump along all project segments and can be used to find orphans...

Confirmed, removing that orphan frame at 25.00.024 resolves the problem

Hi, I had exactly the same thing. I do not know how i fixed it but i think it relates to the clip which FOLLOWS the one it is stopping at (which is why it continues to be a problem even when you remove the clip). i wondered if it was something to do with accidentally changing time mapping but not sure. i think i fixed it when i removed the subsequent clip. Hope this helps,Tim

a bit late, but yeah MOV files are a problem have had pain with VS playback or render being borked or just stopping if I have MOV files in timeline. Convert using ffmpeg if that's happening to you and you don't need MOV container for some other reason like using MOV as a mask.
