Problem Importing MTS Files into Video Studio 2021
Hi Folks,
I use Version 2021 and sometimes I use the latest version of Magix to edit videos.....
I made some films today, and Corel gives me this error as per attachment I use identical SD Cards in both cameras, I have the Sony FDR AX53 and Panasonic HCVX1 (I used the Panasonic Camera)
Yet if I import these files from the Panasonic Camera into Magix no error is shown yet the only way around this is to encode the files into mp4 and they import fine.
Anyone know of a workaround for this?
Cheers
Rob

Re: Problem Importing MTS Files into Video Studio 2021
Do your MTS files have Dolby Digital Surround Sound, VS now only supports stereo sound
VS2021 can import and play .MTS files with stereo sound
VS2021 can import and play .MTS files with stereo sound

Re: Problem Importing MTS Files into Video Studio 2021
I have used MTS files for a long time and never had a problem with Digital Dolby
Most of my recordings are using Surround Sound --- Video Studio simply treats them as Stereo
and I still do not know why Corel removed support for Surround Sound as we can now use PCM 5.1 Channels, so what had digital dolby done wrong, yes it will all have to do with money.
Anyway – no problems in using Digital Dolby with MTS files.
Are you able to share one of the problem files with us.
Try changing the files extension from MTS to MPG

On my other Camera the Sony - they record in exactly the same format as the panasonic audio properties and all of the files insert into the program no problem - but I can't figure out why the program won't like the ones from the Panasonic!lata wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 9:33 am I have used MTS files for a long time and never had a problem with Digital Dolby

Which is right, only two video clips affected or all recordings using the Panasonic.
If all, how are you transferring the video files.
I use copy and paste from the Stream folder.

Re: Problem Importing MTS Files into Video Studio 2021
Panasonic provided an app called "HD Writer" or simular name.
I recall some users having problem using this app.
As I mentioned I have always simply copied and pasted the files from the SD card, or directly from the camera's file structure.
The Stream folder holds the recorded video files.
So how are you transferring the files to the PC from the camera?

Re: Problem Importing MTS Files into Video Studio 2021
Are you able to share one of your recordings with us, we can then test on our computers.
I have used Panasonic sd 900 camcorder for many years with no issues uploading files.
Like you simply copy and pasting the Mts files from the SDcard.
So if you can share a file that may help, you will have to upload to a sharing site, one drive , google drive, dropbox etc.

For some problems using HD video Corel recommended installing the K Lite codec pack
I have had the mega pack installed for quite a few years now, I have not had any issues installing the pack and follow all recommendations during installation, in fact the pack updated a few days ago.
