PSP:2021 Capture Editing

PSP:2021 Capture Editing
PSP allows you to capture edits from one photo and apply it to other photos. But when you close PSP, the edits are saved to the original photo rather than a copy of the original or a pspimage. Is there a setting or workaround to preserve the original photo (nondestructive edit)?
