I know I'm asking a lot, but I fear that I may have to upgrade to Davinci Resolve in order to edit MOV files at 10 Bit 4-2-2.......unless anyone has thus far managed to discover a work around??
Best wishes all.

Are you sure the the free version of Davinci Resolve can handle that format, it's possible that you may need the expensive Pro version, from what I can ascertain, Corel, Adobe and CyberLink are unable to edit that format, but MOV is only a container, you may have better luck converting to a different format

You should read the discussion here (includes 10bit 4-2-2 format): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MPEG-4_Part_2

The free version does NOT, no. I know I will have to purchase the expensive option. I'm happy to convert but at the end of the day, If converting reduces the quality or diminishes the advantages of 10 bit 4-2-2 then I may as well just shoot in MP4 in the first place.RobertOZ wrote: ↑Sat Jul 16, 2022 3:09 am Are you sure the the free version of Davinci Resolve can handle that format, it's possible that you may need the expensive Pro version, from what I can ascertain, Corel, Adobe and CyberLink are unable to edit that format, but MOV is only a container, you may have better luck converting to a different format

OK, I read it. It answers NO part of my question.

Purchasing the Studio version would solve all your problems but if you're not ready to make that investment, here's some workarounds that will get you going with the free version.
