Messages Cache

Post by snowstorm »

Good afternoon
The following 'event' is created almost on a daily basis on my PC=C˃user˃user˃appdata˃roaming˃Corel˃Messages˃540236211_217004˃EN˃MessageCache1˃Messages˃1614591357809(Being an empty folder)...

Any idea where I can trace the creation of such messages...
Can I delete the content of the messages folders.

Same pattern for the creation of MessageCache2.

I am working with VideoStdio Ultimate 2021 (24.1.0.299 64bits)
Many thanks in advance..

The Message pile in every time you open a Corel product: that's in C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Roaming\Corel\Messages The other place you need to check is C:\ProgramData\Corel\Messages though that fills much more slowly.

You can empty the folder of all the messages with no problem. They are essentially advertising for newer versions of all the Corel products you have, or even ads for ones you just bought! It is one of the banes of life under Corel. With VS 2021 open, go to Help > Message Preferences and choose what you want to do with incoming Messages. It may work for a while but gradually the Messages keep coming back and you need to do a manual clear out. I do mine every week.
