Hi,
I am working on a project at the moment that is about 90 minutes in length.
Just got a pop-up that stated something like " the maximum length of a project is 10 hours. Cut some of your project".
I have searched the whole blank end up to the 10 hour point and there are no clips of any kind showing up. Has anyone any idea of what I can do now to delete files that are not there?
Mike

Can we assume you have closed the project and VS, rebooted, and reopened everything and still get the same message?

Sometime there is an orphan single frame causing the issue.mikeandm wrote: I have searched the whole blank end up to the 10 hour point and there are no clips of any kind showing up. Has anyone any idea of what I can do now to delete files that are not there?
If you press the 'end' key, do you wind up at the 10 hour mark? If so then zoom-in on the timeline to maximum extent possible and look for an orphan frame(s).

Re: false length of project
If there is a rogue/orphan clip it probably is just a hairline and difficult to locate
View the digital clock far right of timelines, that should indicate the length of the project, what does it show?
View the digital clock below the preview screen should show the cursor / playhead position, what does that show
A screen shot may help
Pressing the end button should navigate to the end of the project, your cursor may obscure the thin hairline clip, so the timeline looks empty.
Try switching to Storyboard view to look at the last thumbnail, should show its duration? You may be able to delete from here.
or
Select a clip on the timeline and press your keyboard right arrow key, should select each clip in turn if you reach the end clip you may be able to delete
With the rogue clip selected if you cannot delete then I am afraid I am out of ideas
You could save the VSP, zip and attach to your post, then we can have a better look.

Re: false length of project
Hi all,
thanks for all the replies, unfortunately I could not get any to work. This is what I tried
I have searched the whole file to the 10 hour point at the lowest magnification level and cannot find any orphan files.
If I go from the start of the project using the right arrow button it gets to the 1hr 2 point and then goes back to the start.
If I search using the storyboard view it shows that the last clip (number 21) is only 4mins 10 secs long and none beyond it.
when I go to end of timeline-10 hours- it is showing the last picture in the clip at the 1hr point.
I have just selected the video track and moved it to the overlay track and the storyboard view shows the video track is empty. When I moved the video track I only selected from the start to the 1hr 2min mark but the track is still showing it ends at 10 hour point.
Finally I have selected all video files and grouped them. I have then moved them to the clip selection box not sure of the name, and the last clip is still showing it is only 4mins long.
In the end since I had all the original video in one file I only wanted to save the audio and was able to do this by hiding all tracks except the audio. I was then able to copy this file and so I just started a new project so I am now happy.
I would add that I asked Corel and they told me that I should remux the video and start again.

Hi Mike
If you are still pursuing this issue can you attach your VSP to your post.
You will first have to zip the vsp or rename using txt as the extension
We can have a look although wont be able to link to your files, Just interested in having a look.
