2022 Pro Slows and Freezes

Hi, all.

Over the past few weeks when I've been trying to use JPEG Optimizer it takes forever to let me save.. in fact, it can take several minutes or even freezes. When I first start using PSP it seems fine but slows the longer I use the program.

I've reached out to support but all I got was 'uninstall and reinstall.' I've done this about three times so far this year and frankly it's annoying.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

How extensive are your edits? Do you use a lot of patterns or textures? Lots of brush strokes?

If yes I recommend turning off Saving Edit History in the preferences. It's just text but we've seen it start to become burdensome over time.

Some edits are more extensive than others but it’s usually nothing really major. This is mostly after I apply a picture tube - my watermark- and try to save it to a different folder.

I rarely go back to look at the edit history.

Depending on the size of the watermark, maybe but unlikely to be the culprit. Still, if you almost never look at edit history definitely turn it off. No one needs that cluttering up their file.

Best solution upload image so we can determine the fault I would always say save in a better format like png or tiff without compression.
