When will I learn. Every time I hope that Video Studio is going to be ok on the next version, and every time it is not.
I've just started a new project and the motion properties are screwing up every single time. If I apply motion to an image (zooming, panning, etc), it will look fine initially, but then randomly, VS will screw it up by changing the borders, cut, position, etc. etc.
I'm posting this here, in the hope that someone has found a workaround, otherwise I guess it's back to 2021 for this project.

Re: VS 2022 Motion Features
Can you share a VSD file that has this issue? Which motion control are you using: Pan Zoom (toolbar button) or Motion > Customize Motion (right click context menu)?

Re: VS 2022 Motion Features
I'm using the "customize motion" function.
I've currently been able to work around it by putting the images in the overlay tracks.
If the images are in the main video track the motion just completely goes squiffy.
This happens on every video file I create. e.g.. https://www.dropbox.com/s/yhyasogh3ryio ... t.VSP?dl=0

Re: VS 2022 Motion Features
Downloaded, thanks.
I have assigned images to your VSD and run it. I've SAVEd the project, close VS and reopened several times but nothing changed from what you sent.
I loaded to the Overlay track with same results.

You can see it happening here https://www.dropbox.com/s/thuu9a5hu1tm5 ... e.mp4?dl=0
Each of motion settings for these images have gone out of whack. If I go back into the motion panel and re-save them, then it fixes it temporarily. But the problem will reoccur shortly after.

Re: VS 2022 Motion Features
I find it difficult to view the details of that video as the quality is poor so seeing the Customised Motion settings is difficult.
Maybe GEWB will have thoughts on this.
I do not know what you are trying to set nor which is the correct setting.
Are you able to create a project of the correct settings, then save the project again when things have gone wrong. Provide both VSP’s the good and the bad and we may be able to compare the results.
You may be best to use the library samples then we are all working with the same clips.
Not sure about this but I did note that you appear to be using the same clip 2 or 3 times, ( although it is difficult to read the names with that video) not sure if that would have any bearing on this issue.
Like GEWB I have run several tests trying to replicate this anomaly and cannot replicate

Re: VS 2022 Motion Features
Try this:
1. Double click on an image on your timeline.
2. On the Edit tab, click the Resampling Option droplist radio button (above Pan & Zoom) if it is not already selected.
3. Click on the option list box or the droplist arrow.
4. Select Fit to project size from the option droplist.
5. Click anywhere outside of the Edit tab to set and accept your change.
6. Test.
Did it run as you expected?

Re: VS 2022 Motion Features
From what I can tell the images are not 16-9 ratio, more like portrait or square.
So fit to project will distort them horizontally.
Whatever is happening it’s odd
