LUTs Disappearing from VS2022
I have a few specialized LUT profiles I use for underwater work. I've added them to VideoStudio 2022 numerous times, both in the Custom folder and in new folders I created for them, but they regularly disappear—both the LUTs and the new folders—from VideoStudio 2022 and have to be added back in. I have been unable to attribute this to any specific LUTs or any specific behavior within the program. They just disappear between sessions without warning.
Any ideas or suggestions? This is making it incredibly difficult to finish my projects.

Re: LUTs Disappearing from VS2022
Well, either nobody uses Look Up Tables or I'm the only one on this forum having this problem. I've tried resetting VS2022, as well as reinstalling after running the relevant clean-up tools, and the problem persists. I've also tried various folders and naming conventions to no avail.
The Look Up Tables don't usually disappear from my library right away (i.e., not immediately upon closing and re-closing VS2022), but after some indeterminate period of time and/or number of sessions, so what triggers the bug is as yet a mystery.

Hi Curtis
Apologies for the lack of response here, but you are correct that I do not use LUT’s although I am sure others on the forums do.
I will however try to test tomorrow, a little late in the day for me being in the UK
My first thought is the save location of the LUT files.
Are they saved on an external drive that may at some time be disconnected, the program would loose the link to the files, as I say will test that theory tomorrow

Re: LUTs Disappearing from VS2022
The Lut options seem to be working for me.
A little annoyed that the default folder was always the All option, better if it were the last used option, that would be my new folder.
I was able to replicate loosing my Lut files by using a USB stick although only the folder content disappeared. I’ll run the system with the USB intact to see if the Lut files remain.
I have also created a new folder on one of my internal drives as a comparison.
See what happens when rebooting the program and pc?
Maybe others that do use Lut files can comment here

Re: LUTs Disappearing from VS2022
Thanks for looking into this.
I have not moved or modified the disk folder. The LUTs are in the C:\Users\[User]\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\25.0\ColorAdjust\LUT folder created by VS2022. I have installed them elsewhere, in other folders and even on other drives, with no effect on this issue. Rebooting the PC (which I rarely do) is also not a factor.
Once installed, the LUTs remain in the program library, both in ALL and in my own custom folder, for an indeterminate period of time before disappearing. It is not a matter of simply opening and closing the program, but using the program multiple times over several hours or even days until suddenly—unpredictably—the LUTs disappear from the library (but not from the actual hard drive). It happened again today.
Corel Support has supposedly escalated this issue, but I've not heard back from anyone for several days.

Re: LUTs Disappearing from VS2022
Strange, I am sure I replied to you yesterday, my post seems to have gone missing??
I was asking if you suffer from program crashes that may affect the Lut library content.
Also just to clarify, when you import your Lut’s do you create a new library folder or import directly into the All section.
If you create new library folders, is it the entire folder that disappears or just the folder content.
In fact whilst writing this post and doing a little testing I have just lost one of my own Luts library folders, I guess I have just replicated your problem, Hmmmm
What I did
I had a USB stick with several Luts that had been imported to a new folder in the luts library, all working ok
USB was formatted which removed the Lut's files
Video Studio shows that Lut folder empty, to be expected
Imported 2 lut's to that folder, looks ok
a few minutes later the folder had simply disappeared

Re: LUTs Disappearing from VS2022
I don't do LUT's but I just copied few LUT's from TB into VS, to here
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 2022\Ulead.dat\ColorAdjust\LUT
OPen VS ... they are listed and work on the lake clip
Delete the 25.0 folder....
reOpen VS ....
took a while to recreate 25.0 ....
Open the color and LUT's list.... all there
So why should you do otherwise?

Re: LUTs Disappearing from VS2022
Video Studio sometimes goes wrong, problems that cannot be replicated to order.
Luts were working for me until today when the library folder I created simply disappeared.
I do not think we well find out why this is happening, its up to Corel to recognise there is a problem, then they should be able to fix this.
I do not know if the issue is only when using folders created by the user or the default location within the working folder
Another anomaly
We can right click most clips for “locate on computer” this option appears to only work for our folders and not the working folders files or system installed luts. Just an observation, I do not think this has any bearing on this issue.

Re: LUTs Disappearing from VS2022
Another issue affecting the Lut’s library is scrolling
When we scroll down to view other lut filters the top header containing the folders / intensity etc. also scrolls and disappears, not good, annoying to say the least.

Re: LUTs Disappearing from VS2022
Not only in LUTs in all those tabs. Just move the TL higher and you will see.
** I now did another test, I created test luts folder while in VS, import to it few VMS LUTs , re start VS and they are still there. and also in the custome folder

Re: LUTs Disappearing from VS2022
Well I had 3 custom folders about 10 minutes ago, now they are all gone with only the system folders remaining. All, My Favourites and Custom
I had removed some Lut clips then added again to one of the custom folders.
Closed 2022 to run 2021 to check VS for another post.
After reading your last reply, opened 2022, Luts library has lost all my folders.

Re: LUTs Disappearing from VS2022
I have had occasional, but rare program crashes but they do not seem to have any effect on this issue.
I have tried it both ways.
The entire folder.
Forgive me, but from my perspective, that's a good thing.

I agree, but until someone else reproduces the problem (as you have now) they tend (rightfully, to an extent) to blame the user.
I've tried it both ways. The custom LUTs dissapear either way.
I've noted this as well.

Re: LUTs Disappearing from VS2022
As I noted above, a simple restart (or two) does not reliably reproduce the issue. They may disappear after several restarts.
