Preset shapes
There are so few preset shapes installed, how do I add in new shapes, what type of files do they need to be and how to I make my own shapes to add to the list? Also how do you rename a shape. Every shape I make comes up as "new Path" and if you save it the previous shape gets replaced. So frustrating. Thanks

Re: Preset shapes
New preset shapes come in files of PSPShape format. They go into your Preset Shapes folder. If you're not sure where that is go to File -> Preferences -> Folder Locations. Select 'Preset Shapes" from the list on the left to see a list of folders PSP looks in to find Preset Shapes. Most often it's found in C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\Corel PaintShopPro\YOURVERSION\Preset Shapes\
The shape name comes from the layer that the custom shape was made from. So when you drag out the shape, right-click on the layer name and select "Rename".
To make your own shapes, you just need a vector layer with a shape in it that you've created using the vector tools. Make sure to name your layers. Then go to the menu and select File -> Export -> Shape - it'll ask for a filename.
There is another option for adding custom shapes. And that's my Adobe Custom Shape import script. While you definitely can find PSP custom shapes online, most shapes are for Adobe Photoshop. So I have a script that allows you to convert Adobe Custom Shape library files into PSP Custom Shapes. https://forum.corel.com/viewtopic.php?t=61095
NOTE: When opening an Adobe .CSH file with this script, you may have to double click on the "Open" button due to an annoying problem with focus being moved away from the file dialog box.

Re: Preset shapes
Is there an easy way to rename Preset Shapes in PSP 2022? I can rename by drawing the shape on my page, renaming the layer with the original name and then exporting. Then delete the original pspshape file. But that seems to be a long way to go about it when I want to rename a couple hundred shape libraries. Hope you can help!

Re: Preset shapes
Not that I know of. It is saved in PSPImage format with the PSPShape extension. So you could just open the file and edit the shape name that way. Please note that you should use "Save As" or "Save Copy As" to avoid issues and you must manually set the format to PSPImage and the extension to PSPShape.
