This 2022 Software is Far Too Buggy

Post by fltsimguy »

I have long been a client of this software. I really like some features, although I see some areas where there needs to be some improvements.

I am making a movie up right now, and it has most of the usual things I need. I find a do various tasks and out of nowhere the software freezes, I wait, nothing so I have to use task manager to "end task".

I have long been aware that one needs to save work regularly, I am not doing this every minute because I absolutely hate it to lose key framed pan and zooms and such and have to redo.

I found yesterday that I could not use the title editing off a template without it crashing to desktop. Can't get it to work.
I found yesterday that when I used the pan and zoom "button" that several times I changed the key frames and went back to the storyline and it froze, had to redo.

And there were several other instances that I had issues. It's annoying and frustrating.

And improvements are needed, I have the send crash reports ticked, hopefully someone can make sense of it. AND, there needs to be a series of free included templates for "vertical" photos with backgrounds to fill the screen I can't see where there are any, so I have to make my own which is time consuming. Photodex now gone had a suite of a 100 premade to choose from that were editable, and I loved that feature. Get it included, please.

Mine occasionally crashes at the most unexpected times, and is increasing in frequency.

I've had significant issues with VS2022 freezing/crashing. It's extraordinarily frustrating. I've never had issues of this magnitude with any of the prior versions.

I agree. Though I have narrowed the "buggy" down to a fairly specific issue for myself. I will post about the issue soon.

Yes this can be a problem, the program does not close correctly and hangs in Task Manager
Go to Task Manager, select Video Studio - End Task
The program should then launch

I do not know why this happens, for me re-installing the program seems to fix this.

Sometimes VS does not appear in the Task Manager after being closed, so I can't kill him, but I can't launch it anyway.

Corel should fix these bugs that degrade the global image of VS....

I am a fan of Paint Shop Pro since the beginning, but VS does not reach the same level of reliability than Magix, and it is not as easy to use than Magix (just my opinion)

It may not -- indeed, probably will not -- appear under Apps in Task Manager. But it will probably be there alphabetically listed under Processes, which come after Apps.

Also, if I use Paintshop Pro (2019), I can then not start VS2021. Computer restart cures this.

Again, you should find PSP 2019 either under Apps in Task Manager, or more likely in Processes.
