Internal program error
I'm trying to copy and paste an image onto another image and I'm getting this error message (attached screenshot). It seems to happen a lot. Usually, if I close down my PSP and reboot my computer that fixes the problem until it happens again. But today I just keep getting the message. Hoping someone can help with this. Thank you!

Re: Internal program error
This is not a fault with paintshop pro as it does not happen on windows 10.
Can you upload your image files and exact actions to create problem.
I suspect its a windows 11 issue or image issue.

Re: Internal program error
Could you list your exact steps?
Are you working in Edit mode (Complete workspace) with Tabbed Documents unchecked?
Are your two images visible on the screen side by side?
Do your images contain layers?
Are your images the same size?
Etc.

Re: Internal program error
I'm trying to copy and paste the single layer over to a layered image. I got the newest version of PSP this weekend and happens on there as well. The single-layer image is smaller to fit inside that box (layered image). I've attached screenshots of the screen. This never used to be a problem until this year, I've been using PSP for years doing this same sort of thing so I'm not sure what's going on. I make these icons for a virtual chat website where I can sell virtual products that I make that the avatars wear. It will usually work for a couple of images then I start to get this message again. And like I've said before, restarting my computer will sometimes fix the problem, but not always.
Thanks for your help and sorry for the super late response.

Re: Internal program error
Can you upload example files? Nothing you would normally make money on but just mock ups that you know crash your copy of PSP? Because yeah this isn't a common problem. This is either unique to your workflow/files or something specific to your system.
Also full instructions of the steps you took. We need to be able to replicate the issue if possible. If I copy images from layer to layer either through Drag and Drop or through copy and paste they work just fine. The only thing I got from your screenshots is one is a PSD file, the other was imported through other means or doesn't have an extension as the titlebar would normally show an extension in the filename or the name of the document would be a generic "Image#". It's rare for it to have a filename without an extension unless it's imported through something that retains the filename but is only a temporary document. Like the RAW LAB does.
