Hi everyone
I want to save some images but the quality keeps changing!?
I was having this problem about a week or so ago but to add to it my ignorance did not help
I have played with the settings in save as and could not get it to save a decent quality image without the file size been too big.. it just would not do it. So I used File/Preferences/Clear Preferences and cleared a lot of things which seemed to help me with the problem. However, Initially I was using Save for Office and even using default setting it was giving me an acceptable quality image, but after this initial period I could not get it to produce the same quality, I eventually used Save for Ofice/Professional printing setting and everything was acceptable again (file size around 400k or so)
But now Im back struggling to get an acceptable quality image, so to test PSP I saved the exact same image using again - Save for Office/Professional printing and compared properties
The properties are exactly the same appart from file size. (see attached) Previous is 367kb and the one saved now is 210kb. Its the exact same method and image I am using.
Does anyone know why PSP is giving problems to save an image to an acceptable quality using Save as? but more importantly why is it changing the file size when everything is the same?
Any advice very welcome!
Thanks

Re: Save quality keeps changing
Just to follow up on this issue
I cleared everything again in File/Preferences/Reset Preferences and selected save for office. First one on default, then a second one on Professional printing
Both saved images are very acceptable
See attached property details, the first one is 128kb and second is 483kb
The problem seems to be to do with clearing settings as what ive done described above
What my question is now if anyone knows, what part of the clearing process actually worked? and is this a common issue?
