Hi!
I am a Newbie using Corel PSP 2022 on a Widows 10 computer.
I want to create an Image, either a JPG file or a PNG file, and I want to use as Background a PNG file that I have. I want the Background to be at 50% Opacity. Then, I want to place Text on top of the Background.
How do I do it?
Thanks!

Re: Backgroud at 50% Opacity
So you want a 50% opacity on text on a background ?
Then create a vector layer and use your mouse and select 50 on opacity of that layer. Input your text and voilà !

No, the other way around. I want the Text to be at 100% Opacity but the Background to be at 50% Opacity.

Re: Backgroud at 50% Opacity
If it's a background layer (Says Background and the icon looks like a single sheet of paper) you need to first promote it to a regular raster layer. Right-click the layer and you'll see a context menu with the option to "Promote Background Layer". This will convert it to a raster layer, then change the opacity of the layer itself in the layers palette to 50%. Now add your text, it'll be created on its own vector layer and be 100% opacity by default.
When you save, save it as PNG as JPG doesn't natively support transparency. And a 50% opaque background is 50% transparent.
