Hi,
I am very new to video editing. I recently downloaded the free version of VSP and completed a trial project. I was able to successfully share in on YouTube. Couple of issues though:
1. The project was saved it with a .vsp file extension and I was not able to open in my build-in Microsoft video editing app (I am using Windows 11). It is because it is a free version and will disappear once I purchase the software? Or is this a problem that can be sorted out? As such I was not able to share it with others for feedback before sharing it on Youtube.
2. I was also not able to find an option to post it on other social media sites. Again, will this restriction go away after I purchase the software?
Many thanks.
Kumar

Re: .VSP file does not open in other apps
The only programme which will open a .vsp file is Videostudio - .vsp stands for Video Studio Project - it is not a video - it has no video in it - it simply is a text file which tells Videostudio which parts of which videos / sounds to put in the timeline
If you want a video which will play in any other video playing software then you must "SHARE " your project by selecting the 'Share' tab at the top then you can choose what sort of video file you want and whether it should be formatted for any special output like a DVD or SD card or other social media site
The 'Save' option is what you use while you are still in the process of editing your project but want to close Videostudio (for the night say) - then when you want to continue / modify your editing you use the 'Open' option under 'File' to put everything back in Videostudios timeline as you left it
