Ulead VideoStudio 9 stuck during making a DVD disk

Post by fosius »

Hi,

I need help with VideoStudio 9. I have made one great movie with this great application. Now I am working on another movie but I have a problem. When I tried to make a DVD disk with my movie via VideoStudio it stuck at 10%... I had to terminate program.. I tried it again but it stuck at 30%.. Again the same situation I had to terminate program. Everytime it sticks at XX% without any error message box and so on.. Where is problem? I tried reinstalling program but it hasn't solved this problem. System information: Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2, Intel Pentium 4 HT 3.0GHZ, 1GB RAM, 120GB harddisk, Geforce NX6600GT 128MB.. Please help me solve this problem.. All advices will be appreciated.. Thanks in advance!

You need to tell us the properties of your movie and also exactly how you are trying to burn it to DVD e.g. do you first produce a DVD-cpmpatible mpeg-2 and only then burn it to dvd (i.e after your editing, go Share > Create Video File)? Or do you have your project in the timeline and go directly to Share > Create Disc? Have you read the very first post (Announcement) on this Board?

The movie is 1:18:35 length. I burn DVD by this way: I open my project from VideoStudio. Then I click Share -> Create Disc. Then I clik next,next..and finally burn. Yes I have read the annoucement but when I burned the first DVD it was everything ok.. Please can you write me a whole way how to burn DVD successfully? Thank you very much.

You don't seem to be following the procedure.
Open the project then go to the Share tab and "ceate video file." After the file is made use that (with nothing in the timeline) to burn a DVD.
Sounds like you once just went to Share /create DVD and went for it and it worked.
Well sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. That is why the recommended procedure is...recommended.

I have just tried your advice. But it is strange because program froze again during making a video file. I am going to try it again maybe i will succeed. Just one more question. Is this program so UNstable? Why sometimes something works and sometimes not?

It is really hard to help you at this point unless you post the properties of the video files you are working with, as Ken asked four posts back.
Right click the video files to get the properties and post.
No, it is not that unstable but if you have one corrupted video file then it may appear so.
